Rent not revised: amount lost and deadline
The annual rent revision takes effect from the date it is requested, with no retroactive effect. One year after the scheduled date, that year's revision is lost. The calculation gives what is already lost and the date until which the request remains possible.

Rent of €780 since 1 July 2025, revision not requested. On 6 October 2026, 3 months at €8.99 are already lost; the request remains possible until 1 July 2027.
Rules applied
- A revision is possible only if the lease has a revision clause: once a year, on the date set in the lease or, failing that, on the anniversary date.
- It takes effect from the date of the request, with no retroactive effect: the months elapsed since the anniversary date are lost.
- Without a request within the year following the anniversary date, the landlord is deemed to have waived the revision for the past year. Earlier years not requested are lost in the same way.
- Class F or G: the rent cannot be reviewed if the lease was signed, renewed or tacitly renewed on or after 24 August 2022 (1 July 2024 in the overseas departments).
